In August 2021, Empowered Communities East Kimberley passed a significant milestone. Working together with the national Indigenous Australians Agency through our joint decision-making initiative, we have now influenced over $20m of Commonwealth investment into Aboriginal wellbeing in the East Kimberley.

The second half of 2020 has so far been very busy across the East Kimberley. We look forward to seeing all of our members at our upcoming Special General Meeting and Annual General Meeting.

SEPTEMBER 2019
2019 has been a big year for Empowered Communities East Kimberley. In June 2019 we received confirmation for another three years of funding to implement the Empowered Communities reform and help Empowered Communities opt-in organisations drive social change. We look forward to working with you all in the years ahead!
APRIL 2019
2019 has started strong for Binarri-binyja yarrawoo and for Empowered Communities East Kimberley. We have grown to 23 members across the East Kimberley!
