Strategic Collaboration for AOD prevention and Treatment

Milliya Rumurra and Ngnowar Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation are working in partnership to deliver a harm reduction program across the Kimberley region.

The Kimberley Continuing Care program provides ongoing support to clients and their families when they exit alcohol and other drug rehabilitation and return to their homes and communities.

The program addresses a significant gap in the East and West Kimberley - recommended in the last round of the Joint Decision-Making process calling for the development of new approaches in AOD prevention and treatment.

The Kimberley Continuing Care program, recognises that people returning to their homes and families following residential treatment need active support and follow up to have the best chance of a sustained recovery.

The 39-week program gives clients one year of treatment and support for their Alcohol and Drug problems.
